Our work

Renovating homes. Building hope.

We work with local people to make existing homes beautiful, safe and comfortable places to grow.

What we’re doing now

What we’re doing now

The bugs won during this Illinois summer, and our next-up project needs the kind of deep cleaning that we cannot use volunteer workers for. We need professionals. And we can't begin until we get this done. Donate even a few dollars to get this house clean and safe.

Follow along as neighbors and volunteers bring another McDonough County home back to life.

Why renovation?

McDonough County has houses with good bones that need care. We buy them, renovate them, and sell them at a great interest rate to families who qualify.

Renovating homes:

  • preserves the local atmosphere and history,
  • beautifies neighborhoods,
  • makes new neighbors,
  • makes use of homes that just need some love and care,
  • and creates affordable homeownership opportunities in half the time.
